Have you Pop Tok'd yet? Pop Tok is a platform that lets AIM and MSN Messenger users take small clips of movies, TV, and music and insert them into their IM discussions. Sounds odd and worthless, right?

Well, maybe it is worthless. Worthless like MySpace and FaceBook are. Worthless intellectually. To which I say, balderdash. No one's cancer is getting cured on those sites, or by Pop Tok, but this is pretty darned fun and easy to do.
It works like this. I ask you a question or make a statement. And you respond by dropping precategorized video and audio into your IM window. I see the clip instantly. There's a movie on their site that makes it all easy peasy to see the value of this -- that is, the entertainment value.
I found out about this via a friend who dropped one on me -- he BTW was the first person that bit me with a vampire on FaceBook. Just to clarify: PopTok good. Vampire bad.
So if you have my IM, don't be surprised if I drop some Scarface or Happy Days into our next conversation. I GUARANTEE you'll join this incredibly infectious beta and do it back. Hopefully Y! messenger support is on da way.
Thanks for reading, and don't forget to write.
I went to their site today and it looks like they even got Yahoo messenger now.
